Mother Eloise T.  Geegan

"So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand"

Isaiah 41:10:

Eloise T. Geegan was born in Houston, Texas to Isaac Price from Port Allen and Daisy Richard Price of Welch, Louisiana.  She was born on June 17, 1940 at Jefferson Davis hospital.  She attended Our Mother Mercy Catholic School until the 8 th grade.  She then attended and graduated from B. C. Elmore High School in 1958 at the top of her class; where she was also a part of the debate team and crowned Ms. B. C. Elmore.

While in high school she met and later married her high school sweetheart, Raymond Geegan Sr. on September 27, 1958. To their union 5 children were born, 4 boys and 1 girl: Christopher, Kevin, Raymond Jr., Nicolle (Nickey) and Daniel.  Throughout the years she attended HCC Community College graduating in 1975. She worked as a licensed nurse for many years and ensured that her license was renewed and up to date well into her seventies.

Eloise worked many years at Park Plaza Hospital and as a private duty nurse for over 20 years. She was very creative and had various hobbies; such as gardening, cooking, fishing, reading, bingo, crochet and sewing for her family. She loved watching her favorite TV shows; Gong show (with her brother frank), Have's and the Have Not's and gameshows like; Family Feud and Jeopardy. She was a great sports fan and loved watching football every chance she got.

Eloise was an advent reader and she loved learning and educating herself; keeping her mind sharp and teaching her children, grandchildren and all others that loved her. She believed that as long as you are living, you should learn something new every day. At age 80 she even mastered Facebook…😊

Eloise loved people and she never met a stranger; she would start a conversation with anyone she met and she enjoyed speaking life & wisdom into all she knew.  She loved the Lord with all her heart, and she believed in teaching all her children the importance of having a strong relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She also led the Little Flock Bible Study at Saint Peter Claver Church for many years. We all witnessed her as a True Walking Miracle; as she lived many years with her heart operating at only 20%. The God of Miracles kept her living a full life with her family despite her diagnosis 0f heart failure.

Eloise received her heavenly wings on Saturday, July 9 th , 2022 at 12:23pm at the home of her dearest daughter Nickey amongst other family members.  She is no longer in any pain and we rejoice in the Word that says in "Revelation 21:4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes.  There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Eloise was preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond Geegan Sr., Father Isaac Price, Mother Daisy Richard Price, Brothers, Isaac (Sunny) Price, Frank Price and grandson Glen Geegan.

She leaves to cherish her memory and legacy, her beloved brother, Henry (Bill) Price, her wonderful children Christopher (Gala), Kevin (Mary), Raymond Jr. (Ramona), Nicolle (Cedric), Danny (Angela) all of Houston, Texas; beautiful Grandchildren, Chris Jr., Desiree, Rachel, Brandon, Josh, Veronique, Shakaree, Adrianne, Raymond III, Brittany, Ryan, Chelsea, C.J., Courtney, Angela, Duroi, Johnathan, Tyrel, Trachelle, Israel, Daisha, Giselle and Amber, 42 Great-grands and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends whom she loved and they loved her in return.
