Elsie Arena Ali, also known as "Cherri" born September 21, 1960, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025 in Brenham, TX.

She was a woman of remarkable strength, sharp wit, and deep love, qualities that defined her and left a lasting impression on all that knew her.

Though reserved by nature, Elsie's love for her family was true and constant.

She was a devoted daughter to her mother, Hamidan, her late father Renrick, and a cherished sister to Ulric, Kenrick, Patricia, and Majorie.

She is survived also by her daughter, Stella, whom she shared with Claudio Arena, and her beloved grandchild, Santiago, with a second soon to arrive. She also leaves behind her best friend, Regina, who was like a sister to her.

Elsie will be remembered for her quiet resilience, her tenacity, and the grace with which she lived her life.

She will truly never be forgotten, missed beyond words, and carried forward in the hearts of those who loved her.

Elsie Ann Arena Ali departed this life December 30, 2025. Her Visitation will be held Friday January 9, 2026, from 11am-12pm. The Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Ross Mortuary 3618 Lyons Ave. Houston, Texas 77020.
