Joseph Butch Thibodeaux was born June 1,1928 and raised by Camille and Ada Thibodeaux in Lafayette, Louisiana. Butch attended school at the Immaculate Heart of Mary where he was baptized and became an altar boy under the direction of Father Burgious and enjoyed playing baseball into his youth. Butch actively served his country in the United States Army from April 4, 1951 to March 1953, then was honorably discharged in 1956. On September 21,1956, he was married to the love of his life, Robbie Jean Jefferson who preceded him in death, for over 57 years.
Survived to cherish his memories are his beloved children: Joseph Butch Jr.(Martha), Ronald (Laura), Carolyn, Kenneth (Wanda), Anthony, Joseph Bernard (Lisa), Flora(Dennis), Letitia (Christopher), many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

Joseph Butch Thibodeaux departed this life April 21, 2024. Graveside Services will be held Thursday May 2, 2024, at 11am. Services will be held at Houston National V.A. Cemetery 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston, Texas 77038.
