Lee Anna Rosignon was born on April 17, 1943 to Leroy Sr. and Adophine Strauss Rosignon in Cecelia, Louisiana. She was the eldest child of their four children. As a student, Lee Anna excelled academically in Houston Public Schools. She graduated from Phillis Wheatley High School and further matriculated at Texas Southern University earning a doctoral degree in. She was an English Professor at Texas Southern University and later at Houston Community College. She had a passion for education and teaching.

A memorial mass will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church, 4000 Sumpter, Houston, Texas 77020.
