Obituary

My story began on October 22, 1971. I was born to Louis Charles Black and Freddie Mae Black and raised in a loving home alongside my siblings. I accepted Jehovah at an early age and attended the Kingdom Hall with my mother and sisters. My family and friends remained an important part of my life. I attended schools in the Houston Independent School District and graduated from Sam Houston Senior High School.

A TIME TO ENJOY LIFE

I enjoyed life’s familiar pleasures: cooking, fishing, crabbing, watching movies, and spending time with the people I loved. I often drove to Baytown to spend time outdoors or sat on the porch drinking a beer and talking with friends. Some of my favorite memories were made in the kitchen cooking with my daughters. I also enjoyed shooting guns and watching anything involving Godzilla or Bigfoot. Those simple moments were a true reflection of who I was.

A TIME OF REST

On August 28, 2026, my earthly journey came to an end, and I entered eternal rest. Although my time here was too short, the memories I shared with those I loved will remain.

A TIME TO REMEMBER

I was preceded in death by my parents, Louis Charles Black and Freddie Mae Black, and my brother Jerry Lee Robinson. I leave to cherish my memory my beloved daughters, Domica and LaQuincia; my sisters, Sandra Black, Robin Black, and Debra Robinson; my brother, Preston Robinson; and Kendra, the mother of my daughters. I also leave behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

When you think of me, remember the meals we shared, the trips to the water, the conversations on the porch, and the time we spent together.
