John Raphael Simien entered this world on July 20, 1949, in Lawtell, Louisiana. He departed this life on Saturday, April 25, 2026 in Houston, Texas. John’s bright and friendly smile will be missed by those who knew him well. He leaves to cherish his memory, a host of loving family and friends. The Visitation for John R. Simien will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026 beginning at 8am. The Rosary will take place at 9:15am with the Funeral Mass beginning promptly at 10am. All services will be held at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church., 4000 Sumpter Street, Houston, Texas. John will be laid to rest eternally in Paradise North Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
